Please remember we ARE in the bush, and generate our own power and water…
Ablution Block: Our amenities are close to the cabins and central to sites. While basic in structure, they are kept clean at all times. Our water is heated by a ‘Donkey’ (by fire) and it pays to check a tap for water temperature. In peak times, it is best to wait but the water heats very quickly with this outback method.
Laundry: Gemtree has a laundry in the amenities block with coin operated machines @ $4 per load. Machines may fill slowly due to our bore water.
Gemtree Country Store: Takeaway meals, basic grocery supplies and other relevant items are available for sale. Devonshire Tea (or coffee) is available for morning or afternoon tea during peak season or barista style coffee. 8am – 5pm daily.
Ice: Limited supplies.
Fuel: ULP and Diesel.
Pay Phone: A 24hr free payphone is situated near Reception.
Internet Access: There is no WIFI available at Gemtree however there is Optus 3G and Telstra 4G available.
Swimming Pool: Available for park guests 8am-6pm daily.
Disabled toilet and shower.
Effluent Dump: Please don’t empty porta potties into our septic system – we have a dump especially for this purpose.
Hours of Business: (We only Close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
Caravan Park: Open all year – Reception 8am-5pm daily – There is a night bell at Reception should you arrive later than you expected. PLEASE RING AND BOOK because then we can make plans for your arrival.
